A Post About Signs

Since we're doing a lot of riding on roads (and I don't consider the routes we took into and out of Batopilas to be roads -- more like goat paths) and on bikes no less, you tend to notice things that you would otherwise miss in a car, truck, bus, etc. -- like signs, and Mexico has a proliferation of them.

Like this common one that says to "Diminish Your Speed," which makes sense because you're probably approaching one of those suspension killing topes.

But if you don't the authorities warn that they put in the dreaded topes:

They also have signs to remind people of common sense:
Don't Drive When Tired

Use Your Seatbelt

Drive Carefully, Your Family is Waiting For You

They also have signs about the signs:
Obey the Signs

Observe the Signs

(Just to be sure) Observe and Preserve the Signs

Respect and Obey the Signs

Don't Mistreat the Signs

Don't Destroy the Signs

The Signs are Symbols of Security

And though throughout Mexico we saw signs that said "No Tire Basura" ("Don't Litter"), but one still confuses me:
Don't Leave Rocks on the Pavement
